Dr. Elitsa Veneva, DMD, PhD, MDS is a board-certified specialist and doctoral-level expert in pediatric and preventive dentistry. Combining her roles as a researcher, chief assistant professor, and owner of a private dental practice, she brings together extensive academic insight and clinical experience grounded in real-world dentistry.
The idea behind PRAEVA was sparked during her postgraduate studies, when she questioned the routine use of antiseptics in oral care and began exploring a more precise, microbiome-respecting approach to biofilm control. This led to years of interdisciplinary research across biotechnology, chemistry, and microbiology, culminating in the development of Equiome™—an innovative complex of purified fatty acids with 300 times higher bioavailability than in its natural form.
